Beth is a dedicated Rotarian with a passion for service, membership, and literacy. A member of the Trumbull Rotary Club since 2014, she has held various leadership roles, including Past President, Membership Chair, and Interact Chair.
Inspired by Rotary’s “Service Above Self” motto and its commitment to making a difference, Beth launched the Kindness is Caring, Friendship is Sharing children’s book project in 2023. Partnering with renowned author Tish Rabe, this initiative aims to teach young readers the values of kindness and friendship while empowering future generations through education and storytelling.
When Beth is not working on a Rotary project, she enjoys bookkeeping for clients, taking long walks with her dog Ellie, or playing tennis and pickleball with friends.
Tish Rabe (Robby) is the New York Times bestselling author of over 200 children’s books for Sesame Street, Disney, Dr. Seuss and many more with over 11 million copies sold. Following the death of Dr. Seuss in 1991, she was asked by Penguin Random House to write The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library, a series of science books written in rhyme for early readers.
In 2020, she launched her own woman-owned children’s publishing company, Tish Rabe Books, which creates books, songs, and animations that make a positive difference in the lives of parents, teachers and caregivers.
She was honored to be asked to write The Book for the Military Child 2025 by United Through Reading, a nonprofit that helps service members record themselves reading to their children, then sends the video and a free copy of the book to each child, so no one ever misses story time.
Her book, Sometimes Apart Always in My Heart- helping military families send love from far away, won the Best Children’s Book GOLD Award from the Military Writers Society of America and Tish received the Audrey Geisel (Mrs. Dr. Seuss!) Friend of Military Children Award in October, 2025.
